Proven Advice for Acne Prevention
Even after your acne is gone all of your skin problems may not be solved yet. Even the most minor acne cases will leave some scarring in the form of dark spots where the acne lesion was. In many cases this is not a permanent scar and will fade on it's own in several months to a year. However many people do not want to have to wait up to a full year for that unattractive dark spot to fade from their skin. Until fairly recently there was very little you could do to accelerate this process. The few options that were available were procedures that had to be performed in your dermatologist's office. Fortunately that is no longer the case.
Now there are many over the counter remedies that you can purchase and use at home to deal with the excessive skin pigment left over from acne. These remedies use various chemical procedures to gently and safely bleach out the extra pigment and return your skin to it's natural color and tone. The two that we have found to be most effective are: B. Kamins Skin Lightening Treatment and ScarGuard Lightener . During testing we found that when used as directed both of these products would quickly lighten the treated area. Do not exceed the recommended usage, this will not cause it to work faster and can irritate your skin and only cause more problems. Follow the directions and in most cases you will notice an improvement in a few days and with in weeks the scar will be no longer be noticable.
